These are the door contact sensors which are in use with any and all industrial or residential card entry programs in addition to all safety burglar alarm system. The door place switches function with a constructed an inside magnetic reed swap that closes when the opposing magnet comes inside ¾” of the door sensor. Therefore when the door opens past the ¾” level the door place swap will swap from a closed sign to an open sign. When this occurs the entry management system or alarm system will sense the change in continuity and can know that the door or window has been opened. When the door or window shuts, the door sensor will notify your safety system that the opening has been closed.
